I saw it on the news again,
another bomb, another name,
A smiling face, a newcast voice,
Some would say it is their choice.

A persons life, its fragile flame
another bomb, another name,
a family grieves the love one lost,
blood stained hands, our nations cost.

What would you give, to play this game?
another bomb, another name,
your flesh and blood, the news, the chore,
for your young son, his bloody war.

His chiseled stone, in perfect white,
his resting place, while nations fight,
Testiment to war, not glory
A tragedy, his loved one's story.
