thanks for that - didn't know what permaculture was until a few minutes ago,  very interesting and thought provoking - I like the principle of it all.

Thanks Andy....here's another

Permaculture Magazine - http://www.permaculture-magazine.co.uk/index.html Think we have a few Neeps who subscribe to this? Perhaps worth me asking if anyone has any well read copies they'd be happy to donate to the neeps library? Easier to read curled up with a magazine than a monitor.

http://www.exacteditions.com/exact/magazine/409/460 for a digital copy for you to browse. I don't recommend this online subscription though because once you've stopped paying you lose access to the mags - which if you have the paper copy you still keep for ever and can easily share with others.

I've got a few back issues from a couple of years ago but would like to subscribe again when I can afford it.

'In Grave Danger of Falling Food' by Bill Mollison, co founder of the permaculture movement. Released in 1990 and still very relevant!!! A 50 min introduction to Permaculture including it's history and development.

A great pdf on the principles of permaculture from Heathcote.    'What are the Principles of Permaculture' http://www.heathcote.org/PCIntro/PDFFiles/4Principles.pdf

"Heathcote is an intentional community located 30 miles north of Baltimore, MD and 20 miles south of York, PA. It is nestled in a narrow wooded stream valley on a 44 acre community land trust plus a 68 acre plot of woods that's owned by some of our members. We are a community of friends and family who choose to live cooperatively and consciously create a better way of life. We strive to care for one another and for the natural systems that nurture us."
