On a forest wander today - and I feel ever so pleased with myself. I think I've found some eyebright (Euphrasia - not sure which species but it's definately Euphrasia). In fact...i spotted quite a lot of eyebright. When my mum visited she was talking about it, and confused it for something that looked a wee bit like forget-me-not (couldn't believe there are more than 50 varieties of fmn...not including our very own !).
I believe it does as it's name says - and is a cure-all for eye conditions. There are cautionary notes, due to needing sterile solutions on the eye. Well, it's not somewhere i'd fancy an infection. But still, I'm feeling pleased as punch with my novice foraging skills.
Oh, here's eyebright for anyone who wants to know what it looks like. (you'll need to scroll to the bottom for the pic) http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk...tree-forums/13685-eyebrights.html _________________ Better late than never! |

I've got some Eyebright (bottled for use) if you'd like to see it Maria.
