I've just returned to a 140g egg in the middle ofmy henhouse floor!! I think whoever laid it couldn't wait to shove Gracey off the nest and didn't have time to get comfy next to her. They all seem happy, healthy and relaxed though......Now
Going to sed it to school with yongest tomorrow, so they can crack it and see if it'sa double!!!

140 g egg in cardboard box with tissue paper (egg box too small) was picked up and shaken (as i identifying a present) while I approached in slow motion moment 2 mins before school departure. Double yoker all over kitchen floor. 110g and 100g laid this afternoon.

from left to right, bantam egg, regular egg, mutant egg (150gr) I think it is probably as my hens are now shut in a stable (due to fox) and not getting regular full daylight, so this one has been saving it! Will be my breakfast tomorrow and lunch as well methinks!

| Sorry, forgot to report back. Was a double yoker indeed! Thank goodness my diet currently dictates breakfast to be my biggest meal of day! Got another one today, 145gr with same rippled shell. Think my hens have been traumatised and some just beginning to lay again. |
