Very interesting link WG

For teenagers the article states:
Quote:
In the teenage years, our brains may be fully grown, but the wiring is certainly still a work in progress.

This ties in with a programme I heard on R4 recently about sleep - teenage brains and circadian rhythms really does mean that the poor darlings need more sleep.

Now can New Scientist come up with a way of making me less noisily grumpy when I'm out and about and the teenagers sleep on? Tut tut, Bad Mother

That was fascinating. I knew about the teen wiring and the fact that the long term consequences part doesn't develop until 21 but I though the older brain was fab! The exercise bit confirmed a few observations about people we know, some are 60ish going on 30, some going on 80. I guess as it says, keep exercising and 'be cool.'
