Blue skies. Too warm for snow and I can see it was/is raining over Aboyne.

BAH!

we still have snow...but a lot of it has melted...someone nicked the head off my snowman  and before anyone says it melted....it was 1. too big to melt in one night and 2. the eyes mouth and pipe have gone too

sunny here at the moment, but huge cloud looming in this direction(comming from the north)

It was sunny this morning but have just had another snow shower

But definitely on the thaw, bit of a pain as its at the icy stage and the track is pretty impassable (steep hill narrow track and the tyre tracks are now sheet ice....) so I am not even going to try and negotiate it, have to post Dads birthday present but am going to leave it til tomorrow, it will still be in time and I dont want to bother the Neeps Helpline cos Ive upended the Landy in a ditch!!

So today I am mucking out, throwing snowballs at the dogs and hopefully tidying up the caravan which looks like the black hole of wherever after muddy snowy dogs have been running in and out

Ooops! (upending landy). Is it a series or new one?

We still have snow here too but nothing compared to yesterday/day before when we were driving through fields to get to places as road/s were blocked.

Am gutted basically. Reverting to plan A and moving to Tromso

Um well we have a series 2 softtop that has a new career as a water bowser for the horses fields Also a petrol 90 that is doing nothing at all, not sure what to do with that.

But the main one is a lovely if battered TD5 LWB hard top that we bought when we moved up, I think I am a rare female land rover lover, OH introduced me to them when I met him when we were 18 and we have rarely been without one. We bought the TD5 cheaply because it was a bit bashed on the bodywork but I was working on the basis that I wouldnt get so upset if I slid into a tree and battered it, if it was already imperfect.

Its great, cruises happily at 70 (or so ,does upper 30s or so to the gallon and never stops. Love it.

Oh and we also have an ancient Range rover classic (a VM  boat engined diesel, early and unusual, not a TDi)....its a good job we have room for all these boys toys! I am hoping to downsize by one at some point but OH is hopeless on that front!

Ha ha, not the only one then  . Thats how my OH and I met, through a mutual love of landies. I had a series III truck cab and he, well, several LOL! Now we're married and down to two series III, one rangie classic (4.2, V8) and a disco (3.5 V8) which is getting dakar'd as our project for next year.

YGM btw

You're not alone. The Other Half loves hers too: a 90H 110 CSW 200TDi. It was supposed to be mine, but insurance is cheaper in her name and so it's become "hers". I maintain, she drives.

When I set off for home the temperature outside was 2.5 degrees in Coventry at 2.00pm
When I got to Dundee and for the rest of my journey, it was 3.5 degrees at night
I can vouch that it is warmer up here than in the Midlands     We rock
