I'll start with a quick one you can shove in a pocket for those impromptu moments:

I like to fill a tub with sliced up carrots, red, orange and yellow peppers. Another tub filled with soft cream cheese for dipping. Kids love it.
Also like to take tortilla chips. Top the philly with sweet chilli sauce then you've got a creamy/spicy dip. Yum.

J won't even look at carrots!!! He does like peppers though so that's always handy.

Houmous and radishes sounds interesting.. I love houmous.
