I have been using Milton Haugh Farm shop, since its inception and have watched it grow!!!!
I buy organic chickens, eggs, Glen Clova lamb, local beef, and now Hatton Hog pork!
It goes without saying that I get veggies when in season!(or my own crop has failed). Today I got Asparagus (Montrose grown) and purple sprouting broccolli( Montrose grwon)
They sell bags of Aberfeldy Watermill flour.... but I go to St Andrews for the big sacks for my breadmaking!
They have an outlet next to Dobbies on the Arbroath-Dundee road...AND
now they are to open another one..... in Edzell Village..... I must give that one a wee lookie, as its clser to me!

Web pages need an update methinks!!!! _________________ Hug someone today- You know you want to!

Excellent - I saw the signs for the Edzell one the other day.
There's a new one opening (dif company) at Fordoun too (just off the A90 at the B966 junction).
What's the St Andrew's one where you get flour? _________________ Tumuli Design

I thought that's just the old one (run by Castleton) in a bigger form? The always just used to be open during strawberry season (but also sold stuff from other farms), but I think they are now going for all year. And have a cafe, too.
Must get some asparagus today... _________________ Ina |

MaidinBrit10 - where do you get sacks of Aberfeldy flour in St Andrews? Do Fisher and Donaldson sell you them? _________________ Local food - better by far! |

Shop in St Andrew's is J&T Rodger, 131 South St. They sell breadflour, white, 3 grades of brown, Granary.... They do 25kgs sack of flour.... and they also do 12kgs of flour!
I use Granary myself.
Also they sell the bread flour in 1.5kg bags at £2.01 (may have increased in price since) I get 3 x500gr granary loaves from one bag if I use the 'wee' ones.
If large sacks are required you will have to pre-order, usually 24hrs b4 hand! Buyer collects.
Label says country of origin: Scotland
Think I have covered everthing _________________ Hug someone today- You know you want to!
