Hi this might be worth a look

it a free service that the new radio station in aberdeen is offering you register you kids school and your mobil number and if the school is to close because of snow or anything else they send you a text to let you know, saves you sitting next to the local radio in a morning to desperate to hear if your school is one of the dozens they read out as closed and lets you get on in the morning (or listern to your normal unlocal station if your like me)

Thanks for that Andy - I've never even heard of Original FM - their website www.originalfm.com has local news too - AND you can listen live online.

It's a great idea - good on them for thinking of it.

Yeah its a good station just started up at the tail end of last year only found out about it as there name is on the tower at the acc and more recent on buses, it plays good music aswell, but i have to admit i do like chris moyles on radio 1 at breakfast time
