just to let you know that there will be some local interest on landward on the 17th. The programme features the threats to rural pubs and the programme is all about rural aberdeenshire. They cover the glenkindie and jaffs bar in Dunecht and several others. All pubs feature real ale and there is a short interview with (ahem, me) at the end.
we have to visit the neighbours to watch it since we dont have a TV.
James
p.s did you know that the presenter Dougie Vipont was the drummer in Deacon Blue? _________________ JamesB

Great news - didn't realise that Dougie Vipond was the presenter nowadays. I did know that he was the drummer... but did YOU know that I have a wax cast of his face! _________________ Neeps Flickr Group - check out some of the fab photos from other Neepsters and share some of your own. |

| I shall set Sky+ to record this, I worked with Dougie a few years ago. I'm scared to ask WG, why have you a wax cast of his face?????? |

Beardies - not scary, honest. I used to work at the sculpture workshop and he came to have his face cast in bronze as part of the programme he used to present back then - Big country or something like that. The wax mould (rather than cast) was part of the process. _________________ Neeps Flickr Group - check out some of the fab photos from other Neepsters and share some of your own. |

Could someone phone me to remind me this is on please? I'd really like to see it but I am awful at remembering things nowadays. I even forget to turn laptop on to get Outlook calendar reminders.... |

I missed it - and it doesn't appear to be on iPlayer :-( I think it's repeated later in the week though. _________________ Neeps Flickr Group - check out some of the fab photos from other Neepsters and share some of your own. |
