you should have got that with the computer, or in the case of my sons acer on first start up it instructed you to make a start up disk

ive found 3 disks

1 microsoft, says licenced for distribution with new pc, another one is a dell one, , says use this disc only when you want to reinstall the operating system on a dell pc, this dvd is not for reinstallation of programmes or drivers. it says at the top also, already installed on your computor, and its brown in colour.

then theres thedell drivers and utilities also says already installed on your computor

says at the bottom, for reinstalling dell vostro 1510 computor software , and that one is black,

yeah, give it one more try to sort it if not cut your loses and reinstall....that's what I would do. But I am no expert, just have two kids who say 'oh look the Trojans are coming as I have their horse'

so if i reinstall using the black disc, will thatt wipe all the trojans and viruses, theres nothing i should do first

it should do but ensure your system restore is switched of and run an anti virus straight after to double check. Only do this as a last resort as you will more than likely loose everything.

Then when all back to normal...keeping everything crossed.....set your anti virus to update daily and run a scan daily.

but where to ifind system restore, or is that on the disc

left start icon (bottom left hand corner)
click all programmes, accessories, system tools, system restore. Restore it back to around 2/3 days BEFORE you troubles. TURN OFF YOUR SYSTEM RESTORE BEFORE doing this so not to copy any virus details to an earlier date. Make sure you turn it back on again when you are sored out what ever method you use. It's important you turn off the system restore as virus like to his in there.

If you can't find it via there use the search facility in the start list

smooth hound, just for the record you should always disconnect physically from the internet as some of the "wise" virus's can redownload themselves as your deleting it... just a tip

im bracing myself for this

this is a big one for me, im not ready yet. i donnt remember my pass words , so i need to get all that sorted, also my mind is cluttered tonight, i have a little bit of a worry, so i dont know if i want to overload my mind,

so im leaving it for a while. sorry to be a pain with all this

but it will have to be put off
