huntly herbs (gartly) stopped doing veg boxes years ago but it would still be worth asking at their stall since they know all the local producers so would be able to tell you.

Are these folk still on the go? Might be worth a shout to see?

Pretty sure these are the folk I contacted when I arrived, and said they'd lost their poly. I may be wrong as they said they would take their name off the soil association site. Would be great if they were up and running again. _________________ Better late than never! |

I think it may be the same folk as I emailed to see if they were still going but she said they gave up 18 months ago.

Give us a chance!
They don't deliver that far; but Wendy said she knows somebody who's just starting in that area. Didn't have the details on her, though.
Maybe if you pm Annepan01 and ask? _________________ Ina |

Yep done both those things SH. Vitalveg is the one that Ina is going to ask - it's in midmar(?) so a bit far to deliver to Huntly (not very perma ) and the soil association site comes up with the folks who are no longer running the box veg around here.
Gap in the market? Anyone wanna help me fill it? Would love to supply veggies for folks.
As i mentioned before Bonnyton Gardens are looking for folk to help them get up and running as a community veg scheme. But again, its a bit far from Huntly - but be wonderful if nothing closer. Beat buying in the supermarket and getting non seasonal veg flown across the globe. They had a marvellous nettle recipe on the last newsletter i was sent. Let me know if you want to find out more about this project. They've just had a tattie planting day that I couldn't make _________________ Better late than never! |

Was thinking that myself Maria - but I'm a bit far from you too. Got ground here that we could use but we can't afford a poly. Been thinking about the community garden side of things for here too. _________________ Neeps Flickr Group - check out some of the fab photos from other Neepsters and share some of your own. |
