yea its always the same here, its the track, its a solid block of ice, well it has been for a couple of days now, and before that it was drifted snow, problem is is theres a big dip in the track, thats as far as my van would make it, and then id have to leave it there blocking the track, just dont get any sun on the track, and the nearest bus isnear enough 2 miles away and at stupid times. anyway im sorted now, my son is coming across in the morning, and ill walk down to however near he can get too me, the road up to the farm before the track will be the first obsticle. believe me if there was a way out i would have done it

normally when im expecting bad weather i leave the van down fintry way, by a farm, then i walk to and from it, unfortunately this time i didnt

It's picking the right night to leave your motor at the roadside - one day too late and you are stuck, but if you do it too early you get a lot of walking for nothing lol

Well, from a warmish start (at 7am only had to brush the snow off the car, not frozen like yesterday) it has been snowing here all evening. much to the delight of all in the household apart from me. This morning the gritters were out around 6am - hoping for the same tomorrow... It's only on days like this I'm glad I don't live up a track... hope your son managed to help you out today SH...
