Thanks for that Villagefarm!
I am certainly interested in the nappy liners provided they are biodegradable (which they probably all are anyhow?)
I already get reuseable nappies from a colleague of mine - bamboo ones, so I think I have enough of those.
in regard to the other stuff I am a bit ignorant as to what I actually need - do i still need to soak nappies if i use the flushable liners??
What are the cotton booster liners for?
We could probably come round this Sunday as we weather permitting go to Bennahie, otherwise before or after the Suma meet on 30.08. - just pm me with your details and let me know what is best for you _________________ aka Dikeside |

Blimey - and I thought you were going into cheese production big style! _________________ Ina |

i did admittedly think that they would be quite versatile as well for these sort of things but maybe not worth buying just as many unless there will be more people interested _________________ aka Dikeside |

The flushable liners I have say ok for septic tanks but not to be used with old drains, so I am being cautious as I know our drains are rather elderly!
You don't need to soak nappies any more, they can go into a bucket dry (in a washing net thingy) until you are ready to wash them, just pop a few drops of lavender/teatree oil in there to keep things smelling nice and fresh!
Boosters are to increase the absorbancy of the nappy, either for a heavy wetter who is soaking through nappies fast, or for long wear, eg overnight. |

Thanks for that Esther - then we should hopefully have no problem in a new house with new drains
Hope all goes well for you next month - must be a pain having to come over all the way from Shetland to Aberdeen - already pitied somebody from the Westcoast who would have to drive about 2 hours to the Inverness hospital. _________________ aka Dikeside |

| Yes unfortunately Shetland doesn't handle any high risk births or planned sections, and mine is a planned section so I am off on the plane down to Aberdeen for it, had a section last time with no problems so hopefully this time will recover as quickly and baby is fine so will not have to stay there long. Usually Shetland mums stay in for about a week to ensure all is well before they let us back to the islands. |

Congratulations...I run a nappy laundry company, so have a look at our shop. You should be fine with flushable nappy liners with a septic tank. It is the old pipes and drains that can be a problem. However they can be composted.
What sort of nappies are you planning to use? _________________ Your local Nappy Laundry and online store for natural gifts and essentials for mum and baby. |

thanks for that - did not get to look into neeps much after he was born a bit early on the 31.08.
Got some reuseables from a collegue - i think it is the Bamboozles, which i am very pleased with - though i must admit we use disposables when we go out - will have a look at your shop as well _________________ aka Dikeside |

Glad you are both well..once you get used to the nappies you'll be using them everywhere...it is like breastfeeding in public it takes a while to build up to it.
I have eco-friendly disposables, the have no chemical bleaches or plastics. My customer often take a packet of them just to have around.
If your not far I could deliver free of charge... _________________ Your local Nappy Laundry and online store for natural gifts and essentials for mum and baby. |
