| Frosty but not as cold as has been. Looks to be some heavy clouds over towards you Ina. Is it snowing? |

Nope, not snowing - yet - but the clouds are certainly here. _________________ Ina |

What Jo said - the clouds are moving fairly quickly but yet there is not a breath of wind at tree level. _________________ Neeps Flickr Group - check out some of the fab photos from other Neepsters and share some of your own. |

Much warmer now - the frost is melting and we just had a downpour inside the house - had to move the sofa out of the way and put down buckets to collect the drips. A little bit of a breeze and lots of sunshine. Very pleasant indeed. _________________ Neeps Flickr Group - check out some of the fab photos from other Neepsters and share some of your own. |

The chicken waterers were frozen again - 4th day in a row that I have had to keep emptying and refilling them. I've considered all kinds of antifreeze for the water, but can't think of a useful one.
Car antifreeze obviously is a no-no
Salt water might not freeze, but wouldn't do them any good either
glycorene (sp?) wouldn't mix with the water it would just float
There must be something that would help but i have no idea what it might be _________________ Sassinak

how about some horse manure covered with polythene.. then put the water feeder directly on top of the polythene... them some loose gravel all over the the remainder of the polythene ..
the poo will generate heat keeping the water butt from freezing... the chooks wont know the difference as the poo will be covered _________________ http://www.folksy.com/shops/Townie |
