I wish i cud tell you how cold it was in Aviemore yesterday,  there was the most bitter wind. It took you're breath away and cut you into two!!!!!
I'm not a shrinking violet when it come to cold but yesterday was awful - debating whether to go through it all again today!!!!

I think it is....my computer tells me so anyway <looks suspiciously at laptop>

Dizzyblond: Ooooh yes... sort of mid afternoon? It was odd. I had on all my full winter climbing gear and still had to come inside and hug a radiator lol!

Wishful thinking Jo?? Wanting to get the rest of December well and truly finished???

VERY cold here this morning - not taking J to nursery so thankfully I don't need to defrost the car. Still having heating problems so poor D had to go outside and repressurise the boiler before the heating and hot water would work.

It was only -8 when I got up this morning.  But now the thermometer in the sun says -1, but the one in the shade says -6

the outside water tap is frozen, the horses are sucking on ice in the trough.

At least I don't have to worry about the mud anymore, its frozen solid.  Unfortunately its frozen in to some very ankle breaking shapes.  Walking in our field is difficult.
