yeah, Robert Rankin is excellent - one of the comments on, I think, sprouts of wrath was "the fourth book in the now famous Brentford trilogy" which sums him up. He did a whole load set in the future after the bomb had been dropped in which our hero Rex Mundi teams up with Barry the time sprout and Elvis to save the world time after time.
really funny.
I thought TP started to run out of ideas in the middle of the series, but night watch was darkly funny. Everybodies favourite character is luggage, but I've always like Cohen the Barbarian.

We have all the Pratchett books in hardback. My sister used to collect them, and when we sorted thru her stuff, I ended up with most of her books. I have continued to collect them, and if you sit and read them thru from the first one right thru to the latest one, it all makes a lot more sense - you catch on to some jokes that you would miss if you haven't read them one after the other. _________________ No single raindrop believes it is to blame for the flood.

The Armageddon triology? Also genius. Barry the Time Sprout is an excellent character - he's very good in The Witches of Chiswick too. _________________

I've been a fan of TP since I was at borading school many moons ago...one of my friends gave me a copy of Mort to read....I never looked back. I get all the new hardbacks when released and have all of the earlier one's still in paperback. I once spoke to someone in Australia who had never heard of him, so I sent my Colour of Magic copy to her and bought a replacement in Dulles Airport, Washington whilst over with the RAF. I've also got the cartoon films of Soul Music and Wyrd Sisters along with the Hogfather movie on DVD.
Absolutely amazing, and so many truths of our real world built in.
One of the Patricians sayings I find rather amusing;
"All politicians are in the prison, it saves time later!' _________________ "God and our archers made them stumble" Agincourt, 25 October 1415 |

Didn't Archchancellor Rincewind say that to Rincewind in the book the last continent?
Not that I'm a Prachett nerd or anything . One of my many claim to fames was being interviewed for Radio 1 in about 1989 about Prachett.

My favourite goddess is Annoya (if I've got the spelling right!): The goddess of things stuck in drawers. She eats cork screws, too. _________________ Ina |
