This is a tin plate I picked up for 50p I have painted it in Canal art, I must admit I was very pleased with it and am now painting an old milk churn in the same style.

There's some great art on here.

I would be very interested in seeing Dale's milk churn once it's finished. I have long been a fan of 'Roses & Castles', canals/canalia etc

Dale, the plate is gorgeous

I have a teapot that has canal art on it, I love this stuff

I won two metal flower vases last year from a Neeps auction and it is my plan to paint them up in this manner too.

Dale, your canal art plate is absolutely stunning! I love the bright colours and have often admired narrow boats with their colourful art work. Be sure to post a picture of the milk churn when you've finished it.

Thank you all for your lovely comments on the plate , the milk churn is coming on I have put on the base coat and now have started on the design. I would be happy to share if others fancy painting, I have plans for all sorts round the garden., have to be carefull though as I dont want it to look like a boat yard it is easy to get carried away
