I also am quite fond of Georgia O'Keeffe's work.
I'm especially fond of:
Cow's Skull with Calico Roses

This is a great thread...
I like Banksy's work too http://www.banksy.co.uk/menu.html
I love that Citroen Picasso - and what a sense of humour he must have to say what he said in that quote. _________________ Neeps Flickr Group - check out some of the fab photos from other Neepsters and share some of your own. |

I agree that Banksy is a fantastic artist. A couple of my faves;
Gustave Doré is another;

That top one's gone now - it was painted over by some stupid community organisation. Apparently it would have been worth about half a million pounds. _________________

Loooove Banksy too! Fav. has to be the jules and vince with bananas or maybe queen victoria in suspenders!
If you like Dali-esque check out Norman Parker at www.glastonburygalleries.com
I have one of his (sadly only a print ) and would love to collect more.
Can't remember the name of the one we have now :oops: :oops: and they don't do it any more, but if you guys are interested i'll take a photo tomorrow (dodgy flash on camera!). He goes from the subtley surreal to flat out mindblowing, so you can dip your toe without being to scared the first time!!
His works are exclusivly about Glastonbury Tor (near where we used to live) and his paintings capture the both mundane and the mystical qualities of that amazing place.
The only thing I miss about somerset, walking up the tor and window shopping in all the cool pagen shops in town!! _________________ Trying to knit my own soya yogurt, failing miserably. |

I saw what looked like a Banksy stencilled picture on a redundant bank in George Street, Aberdeen, today - is that possible? or is it someone copying him? _________________ Local food - better by far! |
