Yellow poppies

Does anybody know whether yellow poppies are poisonous to chooks. I've dug them up, (to do a three sisters bed) moving as many as possible, I've a barrow full of 'broken,' ones I'd like to compost but heaps in with chooks.

Yeah, there's a few things mine don't eat - yellow poppies and nettles being among those,

The poppies were actually elsewhere, so not sure what their reaction would be but the composts are within hen pen and they dig over them.
Good to know they're not eating them though as compost needs some browns. Thanks
