Windoze 7 - how last year!in an effort to fob the latest version of Windoze off on a gullible public, they're touting the Ubuntu-style taskbar in "7" as something "new" according to the latest tv ad............yet again, Microsoft nicks someone else's ideas and touts them as "theirs"......

It's what they have always done... taken a "good" idea and made it their own... it's always been a winning formula ever since DOS (which wasn't theirs first either).
Not had a proper play with Win7 yet, not really had the time to ensure I've got the full set of software ready to reinstall on my machine (it's a works one) and not really had the time to ensure I have a full backup and installation time, etc... plus there is always the time taken to get everything back the way you want it after a reinstall 
Have played with Ubuntu, and for a cheap/free machine it's quite good, worked quite well for me (still have an old desktop and laptop with it installed)... the funny thing I found with it, was that the Ubuntu RDP client was far quicker than the MS version (despite it effectively being an MS thing  )
