Does anyone know a good spot (Cullen/Banff coast) to go beach casting? I have a very brave father-in-law who wants to drop a line this weekend - early next week.

I know a popular spot for beach fishing is Cullykhan Bay, about a mile west of Pennan. Also, SmoothHound (where is he when we need him

) has been known to fish at New Aberdour beach. All that being said, i know hee-haw about fishing :oops:

Got a website to send later on to you. However sandend good for flat fish, or you could try the harbour at sandend maybe codling or colefish there. Portsoy swimming pool rocks and get cod & colefish.

Portsoy harbour good too. Cullen beach is possibly good too. tide pending

I had a dejected looking father-in-law today when visiting the Deveron. First he spotted someone casually carrying a salmon catch away...then spotted a heron on the hunt. He was not a happy fisherman

- he's itching to get a line out and has been promised beach casting this weekend/early next week - or as soon as the sun shines-ish!!
