where to buy potatoes by the bagDoes anyone know where to buy a sack of potatoes in the Fraserburgh, banff, mintlaw area? I used to get lovely spuds from a little shop on the fraserburgh to inverness road, just beyond the pitsligo turn-off but they seem to be closed down now.

if you get stuck, Eastside in Banff sell sacks of potatoes which they buy from a local farmer, not sure of type or price. Sometimes Twatts at Cushnie sell them by the bag but not all the time.

promise you there is, they are big potato people, must admit I was a bit surprised when I first saw their sign but thought that was just the southerner in me coming out. They sometimes bag them for sale to the public but sell mainly in bulk.

no, SH, they grow spuds for eating - had 4 bags a few weeks ago, but this year they are finding it better to sell them by the lorry load rather than bother bagging them. They are good when you can get them
