We use Hosting UK for our websites.
Prices vary depending on which level you want, and I daresay you can get the same services elsewhere for less, but we're really happy with the service we get.
Their support is generally very good - not instantaneous, but we almost always get a reply within an hour or two - and very helpful. This is particularly useful for us, as although we are competent IT folks, web technology isn't our strongest skillset.
Uptime is important to us, and there's has been almost 100% over the last 5 years. Outages, sure, but very few.

www.titaninternet.co.uk is who I've used, mates with the guys that run it as well. They are based down south but if Microsoft trust them to run some of their UK based websites then they must be doing something right
Not too pricey compared to some and are pretty reliable in my experience.

WebsitesHi,
I use Fast Hosts. (Possibly one word.) Very easy for first timer, under a fiver a month, lots of price/service choice. No problems with the service but if you have a queery, need your pin and password, I find that a drag, can't they ask a couple of quick questions to clarify who you are, still I suppose it makes them secure and maybe they all do. You can wait on the phone for a few mins to get answered.

Hi,
Just some Technical advice rather than advertising products
look very carefully at what you want your space to do for you
i.e. if you want to host any mysql databases for things such as forums picture libraries topsite directories e-commerce etc etc
how much traffic does your site recieve if your co hosting and your site drains ram from the others using the same server you may be asked to rent more space on that server or even rent a VPS ( virtual private server )
but if this is all way above your traffic needs for now and don't think it will ever be needed then stick with simple standard hosting
hope that helps a bit
best regards
Ian
