we have lost a chickenThis is very weird.
four of the chickens hang out together all the time and one is a loner. But its one of the four that has gone missing. And she's one of last years chicks, so its not likely she has died under a bush somewhere.
I really hope she doesn't have a hidden nest somewhere, but I've checked all the likely places.

itll probably be in an unlikely place then,  ive got a black rock that went missingfor weeks, i never did find her place, then one day there she was  only she has been quite aggressive since she has been back, she was friendly when she went, she is just not getting on with the others at all, although she is better than she was

check all the unlikely places and make sure she's not hiding somewhere she can't get out of.

They are very good at finding themselves a secret nest site. That bad temper was probably the result of sitting on a clutch of eggs that never hatched SH, I've seen it before. There's nothing so Pissy as a broody hen - mind you, so would you be if you hadn't taken a dump for days

lost chicken - FOUND!Its a good job that chickens can't tell the difference between work days and weekends. The lost chicken obviously assumed I'd be at work today and sneaked out of the barn for something to eat.
I saw her and followed her back to her nest in the barn. And the large number of eggs she was sitting on...
She's been sitting for at least a week now so we're just going to leave her. I guess we're going to have more chicks.
