Urgent - Two Quails looking for a home

A friend is trying to re-home two quails. Not sure of sex or size, but looking for a loving home.

Can anyone help. Am trying to get them re-homed ASAP.

If they can't find anywhere, we'll take them.
We've just ordered 5 females for eggs, we should have them in a couple of months. We could squeeze in a couple more- male or female.

Thanks for the kind offer Mike and Louise, I have found a home for them.

Just to let you know - they're installed in their new 20ft x 8ft quail-dom complete with 8ft high fencing and brick house. Currently investigating the 'no really this is just like roaming free honestly!' environment I created for them in the outside enclosure.

The chickens are all lined up at the wall peering through at the odd little fellows.

Its great to have Bobs back again (thats what we call them) and OH is gonna be so chuffed when he see's them. It was pure fate! Thank you!!!

Glad they are settled in ok. They were found abandoned after the rare breeds at Thainstone on Saturday.

We also homed 3 x 1 week old ducklings found abandoned in a cardboard box. Not sure of sex or breed, but will let you know what they turn out to be.

I have said for my contact to let me know if they find anything else, as I am sure as a community we could probably re-home anything.

Thanks again.

NEEPS is ace!

God that is really annoying, not that they have found a really great home, but that they were dumped- they're not males are they.
We ended up with a cockerel and a drake after a rare breed sale a couple of years ago, they were bought but never collected after the sale, they were kept for a week.
So glad they have a good home, and if there are anymore rejects, I'm sure the kind hearts on NEEPS will help out.
We will, especially if they are turkeys or geese.

You could write my knowledge of Quails on the back of a stamp. Not sure what sex they are, any idea JoH?
JoH

They're both male Matty. But they'll soon have a gaggle of wimmin to pester

(and OH went mad with joy when I showed him them last night btw)
