Touched by Scotland

Touched by Scotland at Oyne.
Has anyone come across this place. I picked up a leaflet about it and they look to have a lot of stuff going on.

Touched By Scotland Ltd was established to promote and support local artisans in the North East. In two years, the business has grown to become known as ‘the place’ to find unique handcrafted goods. Over 300 artists display and sell their work at the gallery, with more that two-thirds being Scottish based.
An extensive programme of workshops has been established, allowing artisans to pass on their knowledge and skills to others. International, as well as local tutors have been sourced to teach classes in subject such as weaving, spinning, papermaking, lampwork bead making and jewellery making. Students from all parts of the UK have enrolled in these classes, with interest now being shown by foreign students.

Good idea - but couldn't they find enough Scottish artists? The name doesn't sound right if more than a quarter are still non-Scottish!

Oops just realised PD has already posted about this place in What's on

No harm in it being in here too - things often get swamped in the 'what's on' section.
