I had made the same mistake, turned the central heating right down as the house was too warm, now it's freezing
Lovely bright day though.

We had sunshine earlier - a beautiful start to the day, but it's clouded over now.

Well we woke up to the house being cold this morning too... noticed it looked like we had a power cut yesterday so put it down to the clock on the boiler being out of sync or something. Dived off to work as normal and left my wife to alter the clock on it.
Came home and it was warm enough, made dinner, put on the fire as normal... was only when I went thru' the back I noticed it was still bl00dy cold. So went to check out the boiler, claims it's on and working but no noise, etc.
Went and checked the tank to see and the small clear tube on the outside looked to have plenty of oil still in it... unscrewed the cap on the top to look (after kicking it a couple of times) and it looks and sounds like we're out... so looks like there must be a blockage on the bottom of that clear pipe (have tried twisting the cap on the bottom to try and release it but it doesn't make any difference). So I guess we're in for a couple of cold days unless we can get a quick delivery tomorrow.
Why is it when you think you're on top of everything, you suddenly get hit by a heap of unexpected bills (had to replace a new tyre the other week due to a puncture on a pothole... nice £167 bill later).
