The Potato CouncilFound this great wee site, everything you need to know about potatoes, history, facts, recipes, varieties etc..I picked up a couple of bags of potatoes last night for 20p each and I was browsing for different potato recipies

Fab site - saddened to hear that mums (or dads) are not teaching their children how to cook though - the Grow your own spuds project sounds like a good one! |

I agree the project/growing experiment for the kids looks great..
With regards to parents not showing their kids how to cook.... I think that with the economy the way it is, people losing their jobs etc.. people are going back to basics .. reverting back to cooking from scratch instead of buying ready meals off the shelf. I know my 2 can cook & bake, the more parents get their kids into the kitchen and off their computer games/tv etc the better
