Hi Linz....
My OH used to install storage heating for ScottishPower for many years and he is wondering, (a) are you trying to save money or (b) are you trying to heat your house ?
He will be able to advise once he knows the above.

are they supposed to store the heat at night and release it in the daytime something like that, ive had them befoe, but couldnt afford to use them i used a portable gas heater in stead, these days id get one of those electric heaters that glow bright, and turn from side to side, or even 2 of them

they throw out a lot of heat, I use one to heat my awning when camping. Also have one in the kitchen for those chillier mornings, although one of the bulbs has gone now and not worth replacing so I shall use it until they all go and buy and new one.

we have just one storage heater in a part of the house that is only used when we have visitors. I turn it off most of the time and just use it when anyone is here to stay. We are on economy 7 tarriff which is 5.41p per unit and the storage heater uses around 10 or 12 units a night, which I don't think is too bad although could get a bit pricey if you run several of them. Assume you are on economy 7?
