Sit-on-top kayak

Not exactly country ... more sea!  I've got my kayak and have been out in it a few times.  Haven't had time to do any fishing yet, but it is very stable and comfortable to sit in.  First time out I paddled from Portsoy to Sandend and it was great.  Our collie 'pup' Tess (9 months old) can sit on the back with me, and I got her a lifejacket, so if I capsize I know if I can swim to the shore so can she.  I think it would take quite a rough sea to make it capsize and I am a bit of a wuss so I don't risk it.  I must admit it is not as easy to paddle in a straight line as a proper sea kayak, but I'm not racing anywhere.  It is just great to be out on the sea, no sounds except for the seabirds and the waves gently hitting the hull of the kayak.  All I need now is interaction from seals and dolphins! and perhaps a fish or three.

Is that a picture of you taken at the Portsoy Boat Festival with your dog?   I've just been looking at the link in the Photography section to Youtube.

I'm afraid so! And my computer screen shows things wider than they are!  I need to do lots more paddling and lose some weight!!
