Sheeps wool compost

Just saw this on the Hampton Court show programme, its  a mix of braken and sheeps wool.

Since my fleeces are a bit manky and the hill we live on has lots of nasty bracken up the top, reckon I might have a go at making my own!

Suspect the mix is more bracken than wool, but since I wont use peat at all, it is worth experimenting quite a bit to get it right, adding some well rotted manure for some mixes too.

Careful when you harvest your bracken as it's carcinogenic when sporing (if that's the right word)

good point, thankyou, having read up now I also need to watch out for ticks. Have decided to harvest it from the track verges rather than up on the hill, so that Im not in the midst of it, and will def cover up and also wear a mask and the overalls the animal health inspector left me.
