second crop from strawberries

Hi

My strawberries in the polytunnel are coming to an end.  Is there anyway of getting a second crop from them.

How about if I stick them outside for the bit in the cold and then bring them back in?

You could try transplanting them, I read somewhere that strawberries will fruit 60 days after planting.
I will have a look through my stuff and see if I can reference it

Surely can't harm them to try it, can it?

Depends on whether you want anything off them next year!

Ina is spot on, you will get a second crop if you transplant them but you will get virtually no crop from those plants next year....oh well, and strawberries are the one fruit crop that you wish would never stop
