Random PMs?Just got an email - well, okay, I just checked my email - and two days ago I apparently got a PM but there's nothing in my inbox. Any ideas? :?

Are you sure it was on the new website - somebody might have used the old one by mistake!

Presume it works the same way here as on the forum I mod, if a sender changes their mind before you open it by deleting it from their outbox, you never get to see it - although the email has been sent to say you have one waiting. Make any sense?

It could also have been quite a few days since the pm was sent. This forum does seem better than the old one as I used to often get a notice a week after I'd read the message

I have noticed on several forums that I get an email saying a PM has been sent, but if you delay it is not there!
I can only assume that the sender has either changed their mind or thought better of it.
I have sent someone a PM before to find that they have answered it on a forum and I have just deleted the PM as it was not picked up before I got an answer on the forum itself.
It is a question I would not ask someone on a forum for confidentiality, but as they answered it anyway I remove the PM.
Perhaps it is something like this!
However it would help if if another PM was sent to say it had been removed  Though it is not a problem if you log in to the net everyday anyway, but I can understand the frustration
