Rabbit & Wood Pigeon.Apologies to all the vegetarians in advance...
Anyone watch Jamie Oliver the other night? His programme featured rabbit and venison, and i'm sure he was shooting woodies too
A couple of meat's that I have never tried but really would like to, but what I would really like is for someone to take me out shooting and show me how to prepare them too.

Vegetarians sometimes shoot too.....
I'm a veggie with no qualms about culling wild species which have had full lives and painless deaths. I just don't have any firearms any more- gave them up ages ago.
I think more folk ought to eat these species ...and why stop at them...grey squirrel is supposed to taste nice too...

regualrly eat all three townie really enjoy rabbit and woodies although not so keen on venison normally end up making it in to burgers.
dont have a shot gun or riffle so could not help on that point, preparing woodies is like chickens only smaller i think stonehead did a bit onl his blog about preparing rabbits a while back its queit easy to do
a friend oftern gets call to go shooting woodies on the rape crops as they do so much damage and i end up with dozens of them, have a few left in the freezer at the moment i could let you try if we meet up at something.
have never tried grey squirrel but would give it a go if i had the chance

Squirrel tastes like well, its not very nice. Theres also not a lot of meat on it. Regularily eat pigeon and venison and rabbit amongst others - we eat them as others would eat beef or pork.
I'll easy show you how to prepare rabbit or pigeon. Venisons a bit tricker and you'd have to be there for the kill which for us is once/twice a year.
