pekin show results - thanks sass!

I bought a trio of partridge pekins off sassinak earlier in the year and besides being very comical and amusing little chickens they are also now prize winning chickens   . The cockeral was 3rd in the Cunningsburgh show in the best bantam cockeral class, and one of the hens was 2nd in the best bantam hen class

They are very well and apparently happy although the hens have been off lay for a few weeks for some reason (maybe an extra long holiday for their moult   ) but since I don't really keep them for their eggs they can take as long as they like (already getting quite enough from the rest of the hens as it is).

Yay Well done

I've got a load of this years young ready to be sold if anyone else wants some prize-winning stock

They are very funny, we built them a big run with good high fencing to make sure they couldn't fly out....then discovered that they are the worst fliers I have ever met, I even had to lift them into their house (about a foot off the floor) the first few nights! Every morning they line up on their porch like fat fluffy paratroopers, when they are all ready they run and jump off one behind the other at regular intervals, you could just imagine them shouting "GO, GO, GO"

Just wait until you see them in the snow lol
They take sort of flying flapping leaps along. I have been known to clear a pathway for them haha
