My kids lunch time auxillery called me today (we got talking about chickens at the school pet show last term) with a problem. She hatched an egg under a broody hen and ended up with a boy

As she lives in a new build she is not really meant to have chickens at all, and although her imediat neighbours are happy for her to keep the chickens (boy included) she is worried that as he has started crowing (he's 12 weeks) sooner or later someone might complain and she might have to get rid of all of them.

soooo....

She did offer him to me because she knows Im veggie and won't eat him (lol) but thats the reason I have no wish to start on the fluffy chick route

boys always follow and I don't want to be left with a choice like this.

I think she said she would let a hen go with him if the new owner wanted as well..sweeten the deal lol.
