NE home school network??

I know a few of you home school on here, I just wondered if there was any homeschooling network that covered the NE of Scotland.
My kids are in a small (and excellent) primary school atm but we are seriously considering not sending them to secondary school.
They are all artistic, hands on and outdoor loving kids that I feel are going to loose a good chunk of their learning years to academic studies that will prove unnecessary to them ( and all of us is the peak oil thing happens lol)
Anyway..just wondered if there was an active social group of homeschoolers around here

Any PMs very welcome....I have 2 years before eldest is 11...I feel I should plan this now!

I'd be really interested to know about this. My wee man is only 2 next month but I can't imagine sending him to school. I'd love to meet people who home school.

noshed@yahoogroups.com (noshed= North of Scotland Home Education) is a good place to start - I've met some lovely folks through this group and I know there are a couple of families in Huntly area. Lots of events are organised through the group and you would be made very welcome even if home ed is just a consideration for you. It's an issue well worth exploring in the early years as it can have a bearing on how you approach formal education - for most kids it starts at 3 with nursery.

Thanks earthroots....I kept all my kids away frm nursery...I think its nuts to send your 2 1/2 -3 yr old to nearly full time school!
Their primary school is very small and friendly but I really don;t think secondary school is going to be benificial to them at all...lol..I am doing it all the wrong way round
