My New Bath

You can all form an orderly queue to try my new bath when we get it installed LOL

I have been quite frugal about equipping this new house so far. But......... I was looking for a big bath. Philby wanted one big enough to lie down in without his knees poking out. I found a stupendous bath and he has decided to indulge me and buy it

Apologies in advance to any who think that we should be careful with water and only have showers

It is 1900 long by 900 wide and computerised !!
You can set the depth of water and leave it running and it will stop when full. It has hydrojets along the sides and spine to massage you. The pump for the jets also has a heater so that you can set so that the temperature and it  stays stable. It has underwater colour changing lights - not fussed about those but they come as part of the package, don't need to use them. They are supposed to be the light equivalent of aromatherapy !!
It arrives on Friday and I might have to buy a laptop so that I can use it whilst lying in the bath with a glass of wine

ooooohhhhh, that sounds heavenly!!
I hardly ever have a bath because our bathroom is freezing and we can't get enough hot water, so it's showers here, but occasionally i do love a bath......
1st in queue - Lor138

many thanks Sassinak!!!

it's a swimming pool.... confess, you only bought it so that all the neepsters could fit in at once!

We've got a fairly big bath but we don't really use it as we've got water issues here I'd much rather soak in a bath than have a shower.

So... I guess that's me second in queue - but I'm not sharing!

Me third.
We haven't had any hot water in ages, so it's electric shower all the way.
I love a good soak with a good book and a large glass of wine and the right company.

It's a bit of a problem in most baths right enough (if you are tall enough).

I much prefer a bath to a shower anyway... just as well seeing it's our shower that's on the blink.

One thing that we need to get sorted actually is the water pressure... our neighbours (semi detatched) put in some new boiler, etc and by the sounds of it have had a pump installed to maintain water pressure... the by product of this is that our low water pressure has now been affected by it. If you flush the toilet or run the hot or cold water in our house you can hear their pump starting up.

It's slightly dangerous in one way 'cos if we are trying to rinse the girls hair we can use the shower type attachment on the bath (fancy all in one type thing) but as we heat the water from the fire the hot can be scaulding so needs plenty of cold in it to be safe for them, but as the pump next door can go on/off at any time we now need to put our hands under the water while doing it to make sure we don't burn the kids.

Not quite sure what we can do about it though?

Can you not install your own pump ?
Don't know how well that would work as there has to be a limit to the amount of water to share between the two properties, but at least with a pump of your own it puts things back on an equal footing

Yeah but I don't want a "tennis match" between the pumps IYKWIM... someone in one house turns on the tap and the pump fires up to maintain pressure which removes it from the other one so that pump starts up, etc

Our water pressure always was pretty poor but we've had a couple of instances where it's all but stopped coming out the taps since they fitted the pump.

Sassinak - you will definitely be wrinkled if you stay so long in the bath!!
