Moonrabbit re-usable padsNo sure if anyone's posted about this before but just in case - Moonrabbit makes fantastic re-usable menstrual towels - been using mine for the past 18 months - they wash up well and keep their shape - thoroughly recommended especially for their funky colours - oh and they're from the North -east so locally produced too:)

I really like my moonrabbits panty liners they are really well made. You have just reminded me that i was going to get some more as i only bought a few just to see if they were any good. It did take a little while to get used to them but i now prefer them to disposiable ones.

Also like the mooncup - and not having to buy/dispose of much 'stuff'. Will have a look at costs of moonrabbits (why this name i wonder - am I being dim?). Thanks for link Earthroots.

When I was younger I had an elderly next door neighbour who was one of a very large family of girls. She used to tell me how they tore up rags for their monthlys. They were all soaked in a bucket in the attic until laundry day when they would be boiled to make them fresh and clean again and reused.
You can buy very cheap, white value face cloths at the supermarkets which would be much easier to dry and could be boiled. It would be much cheaper than investing in a supply of ready made pads and you would know they were really clean after they were washed too.
Our grandparents had some great solutions for the things we take for granted didn't they?

Moon RabbitsI suppose but I'd worry if they were secure and they're quite big. These come in a variety of designs, you can choosematerial exactly or choose light or dark. Also the cost is so much smaller than disposables as they'll last years.

Me please. I'd like some but can't help my thrifty side taking over. I'm still wondering if i've got enough recylable material for this, and whether i could make some of my own?

ok - yes please bring it along ! There are plenty of patterns online for making your own too.
I've got a sample from another company and will bring that along too for comparison.
