mobile phone fraud

Dear All

If you receive a phone call on your mobile from any person, saying that he or she is a company engineer, or telling that they're checking your mobile line, and you have to press #90 or #09 or any other number, end this call immediately without pressing any numbers.

There is a fraud company using a device that once you press #90 or #09 they can access your 'SIM' card and make calls at your expense.

Forward this message to as many colleagues, relatives and friends as you can, to stop it.

Many thanks for your time regarding this matter, take care and regards.

its difficult to know what to believe

i think that the general consensus is if you phone a company and a menu says press this that or the other then its ok

but to be wary if you are phoned and asked to dial anything.

my thought is that if someone calls you then they have called you so why would i press this that or the other, there has been stories of getting recorded messages saying you have won something and press say 9 to claim, and you can then be conected throgh at a very high rate

my advice is if not sure dont press anything

Yup - It is. Always a good idea to check with snopes or urban legends websites before passing this sort of thing on.
