Last chance to object to new Trump planning applications

Today is the last day for objections to Donald Trump's planning applications on the homes and land not owned by him adjoining the Menie Estate.  He is banking on getting planning permission then getting Aberdeenshire Council to issue Compulsory Purchase Orders on these properties, and the folk then being evicted.  A basic principle of Scots law is people before profit.

To object go to www.aberdeenshire.gov.uk and click on P on the alphabet. Go to Planning Weekly Lists, and in the Formartine list click on 29th May to get a list of all the planning applications there.  The relevant case numbers are 1620 (Leyton Farm), 1623 (Hermit Point), 1629 (Leyton Cottage), 1631 (Mill of Menie) and 1633 (council land).

The folk at 1620, 1623 and 1631 are living in the very real fear of their homes, house, way of life etc., being taken from them.  Trump stated categorically at the Public Inquiry meeting that if he could not purchase the properties then he could still carry on with his golf course and housing estate.  The outline planning application was approved by the Scottish government but we feel that since he has changed the goalposts all this is highly illegal.

Think if this was you ......

Thanks for the prod, have submitted objections on all 3    The council will be in sooo much stink if they do use CPOs. Unfortunately planning law is one area where the Human Rights Act to date has been massively toothless, but this will be a good test case!
