knitting baby cardigans

Does anyone enjoy knitting baby clothes ? My daughter is in need of 6 home made cardigans in blue for her 6mth old baby she is finding it imposible to find any in the shops.  Wool will be provided if anyone wants to knit one. thank you.
Julie

I don't mind volunteering for one or two. Do you have any patterns or should I just use one from books/magazines that I already have?
If so, ask her if she prefers round neck, V neck, pullovers or whatever and give her our phone number if she wants to tell me herself.
Been meaning to phone you but every time I remember it is much too late at night....ditzy, you see
Dale

thank you julie where do you find the time ? she wants them as an extra layer to wear to bed for him so anything will do as long as it dosnt have a hood Ill phone to arange somthing soon. hope you both are well also do you want a couple of candle sticks chunky oak ones ?
Townie

I cant knit worth a jot, unable to help with that aspect..

But I do have all my mum's old baby knitting patterns some really old ones too that I dont mind copying and posting up if you like.
zombiecazz

I'll happily do a couple. What kind of yarn do you want used?
Could I get a copy of a couple of patterns Townie. Would it be easier to scan them and email them to me?
Townie

ZC Scanning and emailing is perfect... and lots quicker    I think I already have a note of your email address.

I will look some out tonight and scan them..

If anyone else would like copies, just let me know
Ina

Which reminds me... Townie, I still have some baby patterns that I believe you left behind at that knit-meet at mine ages ago! Will try to remember and pass them on at Sass' party.
Townie

Thanks Ina

I'd make one, but she'll probably be 16 before I get round to it

OMG!!!! You know me and oak, yes please.

I need something to get my hands working in the mornings so knitting is ideal. I'm out of crosswords, knitting projects and such so now is the ideal time to give me the job. I am ready to resurrect my tapestry project so I will get you to help me draw some sky onto it and give me a second opinion on the colours, if you wouldn't mind.
Dale

Thank you Julie. I have been thinking about your sky and have a great idea to put passed you.

Townie , thank you very much for your offer I would love to have some patterns.

Thank you Zombiecaz,  Anything will do he kicks all his bed clothes off when he sleeps at night and is waking up cold, we tried the sleeping bags but he does`nt like them.

You all have been so kind with all your offers,  Im like wildgarlic when it comes to knitting I started a baby jumper for Conner and am still needing to finish a sleeve and sew it up,  he was 10 last Sunday !!

If anyone needs wool please let me know and I can buy some and bring it to the co op meeting at Sac¬s.

What kind of sleeping bags are they? I knitted a few (ages ago) that were basically cardies on top, and bags on the bottom... Never heard that the kids didn't get on with them.
Julie

Dylan kicks all the covers off too, some kids just like their legs free. He crawls around the bed all night too and sleeps with his bum in the air - just like his mum used to.
I can incorporate turn back mittens in the cuffs too if she wants. I was thinking it would be good to make them a bit on the big size so he gets more use out of them too. If they are only for sleeping in, it won't matter if he has to grow into them a bit.
