Forget-me-Not

Kiln

I have a nexciting day to day. We're off down to Fife to pick up my new kiln for pottery. It's not new, it's at least third hand but new to me. It won't be in action straight away as it needs plumbing in (elec) and it's ..... mind blank, metal things that heat up replaced, new ones supplied. Also I need to learn how to use it. My pottery tutor is going to give me lots of advice.

It's a rearly HUGE birthday pressie/ supporting me in what I want to do around my child's school absences/needs. (Wanted do do pottery since 16 but never right place/time.) Though I'm trying to pay for some of it myself. Books on Amazon etc.

We're also going to Deep Sea World with the kids.

Kiln

It's unloaded and we started to look through the instructions that the sellers had got from the manufacturers. We know we've the element to replace, we have the new ones here and it looks a bit fiddly. Also we've realized that we need 25 cm space around it for heat circulation and safety. So instead of being wired into the fuse book in the back room of garage, it needs to be wired in, in the garage. Unfortunately there's no wiring diagram for the kiln itself, so we need to get one from the manufacturer and extend the electrics worty of it, in there. Because of the size of the kiln, nothing else in the garage will be able to run at the same time!!! (We checked all this before buying it.) Our neighbour is a retired electrician and has been to look at the situation with us and David has some electrical experience from previous employment, not a qualified electrician but picked up lots from supervising electricians in the past.

So..... it's not going to be too quick but it's going to happen
