Just for fun ...... I have been sick with food poisoning.
I ate a sandwich in Clackmannanshire on Monday, and by Dundee, I was oh so sick. I had to stop at every single services on the way back home - it took about 4 hours to get here from Dundee. I had to coat up the kids, unload them, make sure they were safely esconced in the toilets with me, then back to the car, uncoat them, and drive to the next services.
I was out of action for over 24 hours.
Anyway - it was a turkey, cranberry and stuffing sandwich from the Co-op.
Buyer Beware!

Poor you! Never trusted these sandwiches... Although I have eaten them in the past. Not turkey, of course.

Oh no, poor you  I have had to drive a couple of hours with a migraine once and that was bad enough (vomiting) without the..er other problem Hope you are fully recovered now.

I am recovered in the 'visiting the loo' department, but the nausea is still here. Awful. And I keep going dizzy, and getting headaches, but I think the heads are dehydration.
MN, I can't function with a migraine - I lose vision with mine, so I couldn't drive at all - I don't know how you managed it.

I once had to do the same from Inverness to Elgin, kept having to stop the car in laybys or at road entrances to throw up for a bit and then back into the car and home again.
Was food poisoning I had that time as well, although I don't mind what it was that caused it (chilli no doubt... it's caused a number of cases with me in the past... doesn't stop me eating it though ).

my last case was on a plane to England...was really embarrassed to firstly pass out, then find i have woken up with my feet propped up against the window, and having to across on the 3 chairs which had been previously held passengers!! to top it off...i wasnt allowed to leave till last...where they put me in a wheelchair(even though i told them i was fine) and wheeled me to an awaiting mobile buggy that had flashing lights on and 4 really mature people on who constantly ask me the same question "so what happened to you deary?!"....then get picked up at the other airport and have to stop ever few mins before i reached Midhurst, where i spend nearly two weeks, either in bed or in the bathroom!!...........I am never eating muscles again!!!

Oh, dear, looks like everyone has been poorly with food poisoning at one point or another. It is a nightmare. I am glad I was in control of my own destiny with it though. Phew! Nothing worse than having both ends emptying themselves and a total stranger trying to sort you out. :oops:
I have been online to NHS24 this morning to find out how long to expect to feel ghastly for. I was trying to catch up on housework this morning, but I have had to come and have a sit down for a while. :?

If you are sure what it is that caused it, you really ought to report it; there might be more cases like yours from the same source.

I was really laughing at that typo because I have just finished reading some Hannibal Lecter books and I could imagine Kimmie tucking into someone who had offended her
