Jonny Barton starts work on his new house | Quote: | A LANGUAGE tutor has started work on his north-east countryside dream home, which will be made of straw.
Environment champion Jonny Barton will need 400 bales to construct his 45ft by 15ft bungalow near Aberchirder. He won planning consent for the dwelling three years ago and has begun putting in the foundations.
Mr Barton, 37, plans the construction largely as a self-build project and hopes his new home will be completed before the end of the year.
He believes the house can be built for about £20,000, which would represent a big saving on a conventional bungalow. |

Dear All,
Also known as Foggy or Foggy Loan is roughly half ways between Huntly and Turriff. No idea of the exact location of the bungalow, though he shouldn't be that hard to find as any such weird behaviour will probably have been clocked by the locals.

At last!!
First went up there to an empty site about three years ago. Jonny is a lovely guy and totally in tune with Foggie. He also does the cheapest permacauture courses around!
Anyone interested will have a great time of it.

Jonny can't be contacted thru the above number as he does not live there any more and the person answering the phone does not have a forwarding number.

Jonny is a neep user and i'm pretty sure he has listed his email on his neep profile. Failing that you can pm him. If anyone does so could you let him know there is plenty of interest in his marvellous project.
