HiHi everyone,
I've just found this forum and it looks great
We recently moved to a place with some land and currently have 3 horses, 2 dogs and 3 cats though we are looking for a couple of goats to join the crowd. I'm sure I'll be making lots of posts asking for advice so please bear with me.

Hello, and welcome to Neeps!
I've got one goat that I'm looking for a home with (apparently they make great companions for horses!) but she's getting on a bit at 8 years old. Let me know if you are interested.
Ask as many questions as you like and generally join in with the banter. It's always good to meet new folk.
There are a few of us going into Huntly this weekend for the slow down Huntly event - will you be going along?

We all know walking + cycling is healthy, reduces traffic congestion, and lowers carbon emissions. Glasgow artist Jacqueline Donachie will create new work
that is mobile, out on the streets and part of daily life together with the community of Huntly. There is talk of a safe bike lane, but who knows what it would look like? Her proposition is a community cycle drawing that might show us all. Using a smart attachment for cycle wheels, a ribbon of colour criss-crossing the town is created by the townsfolk and visitors. The necessary road and parking restrictions will perhaps begin a discussion about mobility
and car use in our towns. This colourful community performance is part of a wider cycling and walking festival with story walks, cycling workshops, special trips and tracks,
a symposium on car-free-towns and a solstice fire on top of the hill…

Slow is beautiful!
If you click through from the link there is a timetable for the Fri/Sat/Sunday events.

The Clydie is a riding horse. He has been driven in the past but prefers bombing round the countryside. Unfortunately I haven't been able to ride him for the past 2 1/2 years as my pelvis went dodgy when I got pregnant so hubby has now stolen him I'm hoping it will mend itself soon so I can get back on board - though my latest plan it to try side saddle.
The Comtois are absolutely lovely little girls. My neighbour has a charity that brings them over from France and is always looking for adoptive homes for youngsters (they are bred for meat). I'm hoping to ride them and maybe use them for working the fields, pulling logs etc. At the moment they are just pretty lawnmowers
