Ground Source Heat Pump aka Geothermal HeatingWe now have our heating and hot water connected up and running. It is amazing
The equipment takes up a lot more space than I had been led to expect and I would not like to have it sat in the corner of my kitchen. Although the pump is not particularly noisy.
The water in the domestic cylinder is coming in at about 47degrees C but as it rises up the tank it gets a bit warmer andd the water at the top of the (big) tank is about 53/54.
We have the electric Immersian heater on standby to top it up to 60 when needed and it seems that it will briefly do this once a week of it's own accord to sterilise the tank.
I am chuffed to bits with it, it's great

We used Earthwise at Kemnay. They were really helpful.
A couple of pictures of the inside of the 'plant room' where all the controls are kept
I don't think it's the sort of thing I would like to tuck into a corner of my kitchen lol
