GarlicI harvested my garlic today!!!!!!
Have a bit of work to do in the garden, the last of the radishes have now bolted, so will be getting in amongst them and deciding what I can replace them with.
Have winter veg seedlings waiting for a chance to get into the ground....

Having spectacularly failed with being too late for parsnips, I do have leeks. But any suggestions for other winter veg I could get going? I have a bed spare which had tatties last year and has had much mature horse manure dug in...as my arthritis can testify...

missed them i love smoked garlic, just roasted mmmmm
the orkney ones are smoked with ash, i know this as i watched a program on this theyuse th waste product of a small sort of crofty drum making thing, apparently thers alot of waste, they make drums of the fahion that the lady at the huntly hing today was using, only hers was meal, not sure what metal i did have a look, anyway the ones that are about 18 inches diameer, and you use a double ended stick.
she wasnt using it in proper fasion yesterday though, she was just using it an announcement gong.
