A new 3 part series is starting on BBC2 tonight (Aug 17th)

With the BBC's recent track-record of thinly disguised "plugs" for GM frankencrops, I'm hoping this isn't just another one!
(the TV may not survive the flying wreckage!)
Martin

Doesn't augur well - he's talking to Hilary "wholly owned by the agrochemical/GM conglomerates" Benn..........
Martin

So far so good - been pleasantly surprised, he's doing a damned good job!

Future of Food

I'm glad this is programme is being aired. Hopefully a sign of public awareness growing.

Well I was only really half watching it while doing something else, but thought it was done quite well IMO. Next couple of programs will see where it's all heading IYKWIM though.
Julie

I'll let IW veto it for balanced perspective before I watch anything. He doesn't get as uptight and ranty as me.

its pretty good, will be interested in last part which covers GM tho...see how in depth they get about the cons as well as the pros...
nina

I've found these programes very interesting, clearly presented and thought provoking.I'm looking forward to the last one, next week.
IainC

Yup, me too... and so far, IMO, it doesn't appear to be pushing the viewer too much in any direction (or maybe I'm not paying enough attention )

Mind you, the final part might do that in the round up of everything IYKWIM.

I've enjoyed these programmes, have recommended them to a couple of people, good intro for those who dn't know anything and good presentation for those of us who do but want to think about it more. Looking forward to the GM and very much to the Cuban - how did they?
